Originally from New York City, I moved to Baltimore to attend Johns Hopkins University. There, I studied International Relations and Economics. However, I’ve focused my senior year studying marketing communications. Beyond the classroom, joined the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI), was elected Secretary-General for the Johns Hopkins University Model United Nations Conference (JHUMUNC), and moved to Barcelona for a semester to “study” and travel through Europe.
I want to pursue a career in political communications, which has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. In 2009, I worked on Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s reelection campaign. In 2010, I interned in Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney’s DC Office. And in 2012, I interned at the Glover Park Group, a strategic communications and government relations firm.
A registered Democrat, I’m progressive. I don’t like to be stereotyped as a staunch Democrat, but it’s true in most cases.
Beyond politics, I am a big sports fan. I’m a diehard Knicks fan, prefer to hide my support for the New York Jets, and love the Yankees. Having lived in Baltimore, the Orioles have found a soft spot in my heart, and I wholeheartedly jumped on the Ravens bandwagon.
If I could choose a House Motto from A Song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones), it would be that of House Tully: “Family, Duty, Honor.” Second place is House Martels “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken.”
